Our Purpose: St. John Church exists to worship; to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ; to celebrate the Sacraments; to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this church and the Church Universal; to render loving service toward humankind; and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace.
We believe in one God existing as the trinity:
Father - Creator of Heaven and Earth;
Jesus Christ - son of God, redeemer of mankind;
Holy Spirit - God's presence who guides and sustains us.
We believe in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired word of God.
We believe the gift of eternal life comes through the grace of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all Christians and that as a church, we are called to carry out God's work through worship and service.
We believe in the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism.
Our Covenant: We agree to seek and respond to God's Word and will. We believe it is the mission of the church to witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ in all the world. We pray for the coming of God's kingdom and in faith, we look forward to eternal life.
Our Pastor: Sara Lawson is an ordained congregational minister who loves learning what faith looks like and what it means to follow God into the great unknown. She has spent twenty years serving in a variety of churches and working with teenagers in various capacities. She's been on staff at St. John Church since 2025.
